Who's Listening
-
Roberta CameronCommunity Preservation Act Manager @ City of Somerville
I am thrilled to work with Somerville's OSPCD and the Community Preservation Committee managing the Community Preservation Act program. Prior to assuming this role in July of 2021, I worked in consulting, serving communities throughout Massachusetts and neighboring states. My work has encompassed comprehensive planning, land use, zoning, affordable housing, economic development, market studies, impact analyses, open space and recreation, natural and cultural resources, and ADA accessibility. My experience has included working with several communities to provide planning and leadership around CPA as a consultant, staff administrator, committee member, and volunteer advocate.
I hope that my experiences with CPA and program area planning in many cities and towns will bring perspective to my role in Somerville as I help the City make the best use of this valuable resource to meet community needs and sustain the quality of life.
I am excited to collaborate with Somerville's City staff, stakeholder organizations, and community-members. My goals in the upcoming months include expanding the CPC's community outreach to broaden awareness of CPA and to gather ideas, and to enhance our communication around the application process and CPA activities. Please reach out to me any time to share your thoughts and questions, and I will do my best to respond. I sincerely look forward to meeting all of you.
