Dilboy Auxiliary Fields Improvement Project Update

Dear Residents and Stakeholders,

We are excited to announce a significant development in our community - the commencement of the Dilboy Auxiliary Fields construction project scheduled to start this spring. This initiative aims to enhance and revitalize the Dilboy Auxiliary Fields, providing our community with upgraded sports facilities and a more enjoyable recreational space.

Scope of Work: The scope of the construction project encompasses a comprehensive set of tasks designed to transform the Dilboy Auxiliary Fields into a state-of-the-art sports and recreational facility with natural turf fields. The key components of the project include:

1. Removal and Proper Disposal of Fencing:
   • Old fencing will be removed and disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.
2. Eradication of Invasive Species Near Resource Areas:
   • Efforts will be made to eliminate invasive species, promoting the health and biodiversity of the surrounding ecosystem.
3. Full Reconstruction of Baseball and Softball Fields:
   • The baseball and softball fields will undergo complete reconstruction, featuring modern amenities to enhance the overall playing experience.
4. Installation of Sand-Slit Drainage System:
   • A state-of-the-art sand-slit drainage system will be installed to ensure optimal field conditions.
5. New Irrigation System:
   • An efficient irrigation system will be implemented to maintain the lushness of the grass fields.
6. New Sports Lighting:
   • Upgraded sports lighting will be installed, extending playing hours and providing a safer environment.
7. New Fencing and Replacement of Backstops:
   • New fencing will be erected, and backstops will be replaced to meet contemporary standards.
8. Construction of New Dugout Areas:
   • Modern and comfortable dugout areas will be constructed to enhance the experience for players and teams.
9. New Trash Receptacles:
   • Aesthetic and eco-friendly trash receptacles will be strategically placed for a cleaner and more sustainable environment.
10. Field Grading, Lawn Seeding, and Maintenance:
    • Field grading, meticulous lawn seeding, and ongoing maintenance will ensure the establishment of vibrant and healthy grass fields.

We understand the importance of these fields as a central hub for community activities and sports. The construction project is meticulously planned to minimize disruptions to regular activities while maximizing the benefits for our residents.

The construction project will begin in the spring of 2024 and continue through lawn establishment which is expected to be completed by early Summer of 2025.
