MEPA Review Process
The project team has submitted an Enhanced Environmental Notification Form (EENF) and an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) to the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) office for the MROSS project. The MEPA process is a state-level review that provides meaningful opportunities for public review of the environmental impacts of projects for which agency action is required. It requires agencies to study the environmental impacts of projects requiring agency permits or other approvals, financial assistance, or land transfers, and to use all feasible measures to avoid, minimize, and mitigate damage to the environment.
To view Somerville's EENF and EIR submittal to MEPA, visit the MEPA Environmental Monitor (https://eeaonline.eea.state.ma.us/EEA/MEPA-eMonitor/home ) or email Gina Cortese (gcortese@somervillema.gov). Additional information is posted in the toolbar under the heading "MEPA Documents."
