Now that School Street and Summer Street are paved? What’s left? - Week of 7/7 Update
Last week crews completed the final major roadway paving operation of the Spring Hill Sewer Separation project.
Over the next few weeks crews will be working across the neighborhood to complete remaining “punch-list” construction items as we move toward project completion.
Among the remaining items:
Week of 7/7
Speed hump installation on Summer Street and School Street - Crews will be installing three traffic calming speed humps along Summer Street (between Spring St. and Bow St.) and one on School Street (between Highland Ave. and Summer Street. This work is expect to take place during the week of 7/7.
Paving cycle track along Summer Street (Vinal Ave. to School St.) - Crew will add a final layer of asphalt on the westbound cycle track.
Paving raised intersection at Summer St./Quincy St./Putnam St.- Adding asphalt to new raised intersection will bring it to its final height (roughly sidewalk height)
Walnut Street Restoration - Trench restoration paving to repair the roadway surface where utility work took place this spring.
Week of 7/7 and over following weeks
Final sidewalk repairs, pavement adjustments and other misc repairs - Crews will work throughout the neighborhood to repair any existing sidewalk/asphalt tha were identified as in need of replacement.
Roadway striping and pavement marking - final striping and roadway marking are expected on newly paved roadways across the project area.
