Spring ‘26 Construction Resumes
As early as this upcoming Monday, March 23 constructions crews will return to Tufts Street to complete the remainder of work associated with this project.
Remaining Work (Major Items in Anticipated Order of Operations)
- Installation of remaining new drainage structures needed to better manage stormwater on the newly designed street.
- Reconstruction of remaining sidewalks (those not rebuilt last year) and adding other streetscape and traffic calming features.
- Repaving of the roadway.
- Construction of raised intersections.

Construction Impacts
- Temporary road closures may be required during construction.
- Access will be retained for residents and emergency vehicles at all times.
- Some coordination with on-site crews or police details may be required.

- Following excavation (digging up) of the old sidewalks, there will be a period of approximately 1-2 weeks where temporary sidewalks made up of packed dirt of gravel are in place.
- When concrete is being installed, access to your driveway may be temporarily restricted for approximately 48 hours or until new concrete is sufficiently cured (hardened).
- Additional notice will be provided prior to new concrete being poured in front of driveways along the street
- Trash/recycling pick-ups and deliveries will not be affected.
