Tufts Street Updated Design Feedback Survey [English]

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback on the updated proposed design for Tufts Street Along with repaving the street and reconstructing the sidewalks, the City aims to redesign the street to improve safety for all people traveling on the street. Tufts Street is designated as a Neighborway in the Somerville Bicycle Network Plan, which is a walk and bike friendly street designed to lower vehicle volumes and speeds

After gathering feedback from community members in fall 2023, the City has developed an updated design that includes street pinch points, a few multi-purpose parking options, wider sidewalks, raised crosswalks and intersections, and new areas for greenery and trees. The design no longer includes turning the street into a full yield condition street.
