Eversource Gas Main Updates Start Week of June 9; West Broadway Reconstruction to Follow

Eversource Gas Main Replacements (Alewife Brook Parkway to Clarendon Avenue)

Beginning the week of June 9 or soon after, Eversource Gas’ contractor New England Utility Company (NEUCO) will begin work to update gas utilities along Broadway between Alewife Brook Parkway and Clarendon Avenue. This work is expected to take place throughout the summer.

This work is not a part of the start of the West Broadway Reconstruction project but is being undertaken prior to ensure that after we rebuild the street and implement the new design, it will not need be dug up for utility work.

West Broadway Reconstruction Construction Starts Later this Summer

The City’s project team and contractor for the West Broadway Reconstruction project, MacKay Construction, are actively coordinating with Eversource so that work to rebuild the street and implement the new safer design can begin later this summer.

Once a preliminary scheduled is developed we’ll share that information here and through other city channels.
