Raised Crossing Construction Wednesday, 10/30 – Kingman Road at Washington Street
This work is being undertaken concurrently with preparation for paving on Washington Street. For more information on preparation for paving and the associated detour please see our previous update.

Weather permitting, this Wednesday Oct. 30, City contractors will build a raised crossing across Kingman Road at the intersection of Washington Street to make crossing the street safer.
Work is currently scheduled to take place Wednesday, October 30 (weather permitting) between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
During this time motor vehicles will not be able to enter or leave Kingman Road.
- Both sidewalks will remain open during work to allow pedestrian access.
- Access will be retained for emergency vehicles at all times.
- If you need your vehicle to leave Kingman Road during the above-mentioned construction hours, it is advised you relocate your vehicle ahead of time

About Raised Crossings
Raising crosswalks to roughly sidewalk height requires people driving to slow down as they approach the crossing. Additionally, because they are sidewalk height, they enable people using wheelchairs and other mobility devices to cross more easily.
