New All-Way Stop Coming to the Elm Street and Beech Street Intersection
Starting Tuesday, September 8, or soon after, new stop signs will be in place on Elm Street at Beech Street to create a new all-way stop at this intersection. Stop signs on Beech Street will remain. The new changes are intended to create safer and more efficient intersection options by pairing with Cambridge’s Beech St at Elm St Pedestrian Safety Project.
The new stop signs will be paired with painted stop line bars and letters on Elm Street. To help communicate the traffic pattern change, the City will place message boards on Elm Street for the westbound and eastbound approaches to help communicate the new traffic pattern.
