Keep Streets & Sidewalks Clear

If you have a garden or vegetation in front of your house, make sure that your plants don’t grow into the sidewalk or street! Our local laws require that sidewalks and streets are clear for pedestrians, strollers, wheelchairs, bikes, cars--anyone trying to move through our city. The City issues fines when the way is blocked or encroached into. Tie your plants back with rope or twine, use crisscrossing stakes at their base, tie stems to stakes, or use grow-through supports. These are simple ways to ensure your garden looks good, stands tall, and keeps our paths accessible to all.

Staking or simple ties can hold plants upright keep them out of the sidewalk or street. It looks nice and it keeps our streets accessible.
