Share Your Feedback on the Concept Design Options for the Western Pearl Street Reconstruction!

On May 13, the City hosted an outside open house to share the concept design options for the Western Pearl Street Reconstruction project. Thank you to the community members who were able to join, ask questions, and share your feedback.
Both concept design options include the following but differ on features such as locations of bicycle facilities, intersection configurations, and locations of parking options.
- Curb extensions for shorter crossing distances
- Raised crosswalks across side streets
- Raised crosswalks/intersections across Pearl Street at non-signalized location
- Removing conflicts with bike lanes at some bus stops
- Eliminating the need for the bus to pull in and out of the travel lane at some bus stops
- One continuous direction of protected bike lane with some sections of two directions
- One side of on-street parking
- Clear corners on side streets preventing parking too close to crosswalks
Take a look at the materials below to learn more about the proposed concept design options.
